"Live to Ride, Ride to Live"
Organised KB group rides have all but died since december last year in comparison to how many there were before then.
To be honest, I prefer to ride in a smaller pack of say 6 or 7 anyway just because there seem to be quite a few new riders on the larger rides that forget to ride their own ride, try keep up and then bale.
PLus, a lot of the riding I do seems to be spontaneous, for example I woke up yesterday went out to get some gas and ended up riding down to Tauranga for the day. Company woulda been nice, but no time to organise anything!
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
Regretfully true for me also. I got out last Sunday for the first time in six weeks! Only did the Wfd./16 loop and it really wore me out! Got no energy lately and my head feels like it's full of cotton-wool! Having trouble standing up and walking lately. At the moment I have to wait to see if I wake up feeling okay, then often am not sure if I can go for a ride until time to go. So my rides are few and spontaneous of late.
Really wanted to get out this weekend, but I've just been too crook! Frustrating not being able to plan ahead!
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

I can only assume it would be a combination of that incident, as well as the bad reputation of the KB group rides - "nearly always at least one accident".
???
It has been a slow decline though.
Most likely factor would be the rather 'nasty' winter months we have seen this year... may just pick up again now some good weather is coming back.

Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
I work shift work. This is the first entire weekend I have had in over a flipping year. Usually get a sunday off now and then if I swing it right with the boss.
Most people on here seem to be mon-fri 9-5 robots? (never could do that)
Have organised a few midweek day rides before and not a sausage.

the really happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour.
Got a txt yesterday morning about going to Matamata. Yea so we went.
I'm still waiting for my bike to be fixed after Mr "I'll have a few and drive home, oh! Lets ram that bike into the barrier while I'm here" gave me a bounce. Head is getting better, could ride most days now, just as long as nothing stressfull has happened the days before.
I know what you guys mean tho' seeing people throw themselves down the road (and off the road) is a real worry! I value myself too much for that action! If I'm holding someone up I'd rather say sorry to them that by-by to my legs! They can always just say seeya at the next stop, It's nice to ride with people on the same buzz but if it's not working out then it's not like it's a paid tour, just do your own thing. I will post rides once the bikes back but am in two minds and kinda hope no cowboys show up.
I'm selling my new riding gear!! Only worn a few times get a deal Kiwibikers!!

Our HB rides are still going strong.
In fact, we now have 3 to choose from every week.
12 months and only one off in that time...I guess we are a little more laid back than the big city boys.
