nothing stopping anyone not coming on the ride and coming over to meanies for a bbq after.

SH43. well, If it turns out meanie and I by ourselves then the route might be thrown out the window. Had a mixed bunch of reviews about hidden highway and been on a couple of roads where people have said that there is a "tad of gravel" and spent the next 3 days tightening all the bolts on the bike again after being rattled to bit for 20km. But your review of the road might have to convince me to go have a look for myself.

After Stranger, Bonez and Ynot promotion I have a "route 2". Funny enough the routes are only about 5km difference in total length.

I if you are thinking of joining up at 8 mile or something and we dont show up then we have probably taken the other route. Decision on exact route will probably be made when in Stratford.

this ride is looking doubtful, might be off the bike for a week or two - need a new rear disc and front pads but not sure when I'll get them done cos I got a few other things i need to fork out for

really noticed the lack of braking power this weekend...as long as i could anticipate it i was ok, but if I needed to stop in a serious hurry i'm not sure the brakes are up to it right now and thats a bit of a worry

fair enough. Just make sure you are not running your pads so low your are scoring the discs. Pads are cheap, discs are not. Weather looks like it is turning to shit so jury still out but I might be caging it anyway.

BBQ sounds a great idea, I think I can find Ashurst now

Hey don't do all the fun stuff without me and the Honda
Go on do the origional route and lets all go down the hidden highway together on another Manawatu when 86 and I have come down from the last trip and yod has brakes

You know it will be much more fun if you can have a snooze whilst you wait for me to catch up :

Whatever you do if the Honda has escaped from Anza I am expecting you to give it a once over, knowing how you love them

looks like its just meanie and I. Actually looking forward to the original ashhurst duo on a ride like we used to. We will scout out the forgotten highway for the rest of you just so we dont get lost later on. Alot of events coming up over the summer. wont be able to do all of them but looking forward to a good summers riding.

Have a good ride you guys. The forgotton highway will be an experience I'm looking forward to very soon. I've screwed the nerves in my hand (from riding alright ) and hoping they'll recover real soon, bloody uncomfortable right now tho. They'll be right. Enjoy
