I have no idea, but would like to know and cant seem to find the info off the net anywhere. Anyone know what a 2005 ZX6 can do it in?

.....And I'm not about to go out and try it myself, knowing my luck I'd either crash in the process, or get nailed by a cop for being an idiot.

    Cheers

Maybe 13 seconds? Depends if there is a slight gradient or gentle breeze though.

    It's in the wrist

The closer the wrist the faster you go.

Sorry thats just the 1000cc, they possibley have the 600's somewhere there too but couldn't find them just now, thats 60 mph too, so add a smidgen to get 100km (62.5mph), these times were done with a VBOX, anyone know if that uses GPS or accelerometor? Also they note times are adjusted for altitude and temperature.

I saw in a NZ car magazine where they have a bike section "AUTOCAR" or something I think, they reviewed a ZX14, and strapped a VBOX on it, and did something like 0-100 = 4.5s!! thats sounds a bit slow!!, but maybe this a more accurate reflection of what your "average" rider can do?

i dunno, mines not geared standard, has airbox mods and open mufflers etc.

to be honest, i doubt i could get what manufacturers claim anyway, keeping the wheel on the ground in the first few gears would pose real problems and also; i'm almost 100kg (manufacturers times are usually made by 50kg midgets or simply calculated on a computer)

an R1 is supposed to do it in 2.8 seconds. Most people I know would flip their R1's if they tried that hard.............

Mind you, I always laugh when they gush over the 0-100 times on Top Gear for tin tops.
The latest Ferrari/Lambo/Porche etc does 0-100 in 4 seconds!!! YAAWWWWNNNN!!!!!

And they even struggle to get those times. Jeremy Clarkson took the Porsce 911 turbo to 100 in 6 secs, supposed to be able to do it in under 4 secs. His excuse, he couldn't balance clutch slip against boost against traction.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Probably about 10 minutes; allowing for the usual wobbling, cat avoidance, traffic dodging and underwear changing involved.......and thats just getting me to the bike!

If you have to measure it is it really all that important?

yeah, much harder on a bike where their is a real danger of doing a backward sommersault. Almost any fool can get close to the best a car can do.

the really funny bit is that an R1 costs $20k while to get the same out of a tin top you have to be a squintillionaire. Plus, even when you DO manage to buy one of those cars, you can't really get much out of it on the road because you wait for ages to get past the little old lady doing 80kph along highway 2

My bike is my Ferrari and a far better option IMO

God look at what my bike is then, the look on some kids face in some lancer (that he thinks is an evo) when I blow past from the lights on a black dirt bike is pricless up to 100kays though coz it runs out of breath then.
