If Diana's death had gone down the way the conspiracy theorists maintain, it would have required a cast of thousands and a high degree of exactitude.

The driver of the Mercedes (one of the world's safest motorcars) was alleged to have been paid. To kill himself?

The driver of the mystery Fiat Uno was also have alleged to have been paid. To kill himself?

The alleged collision, in a tunnel, between the Mercedes and the Uno would have needed to have been carried out with a high degree of precision. We don't know anything about the alleged Fiat driver, but Mr Paul was pissed.

How did each driver know where each other's vehicle was without any form of car-to-car communication. Which wouldn't have worked because, remember, they were in a tunnel.

Such an accident scenario could have been undone by all manner of things, such as:
Dodi and Di wearing seatbelts. Remember that the frontseat passenger survived, and Di was still alive for a while after the crash, even without having worn a seatbelt;
A pensioner in a Citroen toddling along and slowing the speeding Merc to a crawl. Or traffic impeding the Fiat's progress.

The traffic security cameras observing the roads to the accident scene were inoperative. Somebody would have needed to have dismantled these if they weren't genuinely out of action.

The emergency services that arrived at the scene would have to have had complicit members to ensure that Di was delivered to the hospital where the A&E team had been primed and the whole laboratory/pathology unit bought off. Presumably they would have had instructions to top Di had the accident not been sufficient, or was that to have been the job of the complicit A&E team?

And the chances of people being sprung was incredibly high. Don't forget that half of the paparazzi in Europe were in hot pursuit of the Merc and amongst the first at the accident scene. They were probably paid off by MI6 as well.

I can think of easier ways to assassinate somebody. Presumably so too can MI6.

I used to think conspiracy theories were fun but then, and for not apparent reason, I got completely sick of them. Like, FFS, we landed on the moon mmmkay (but Neil Armstrong is dead); Diana died in a car crash because a pissed Frenchman was driving a Merc too fast; 9/11 was caused by terrists, not the murrican gubmint.

The whole Iraq thing is not about oil though, OK? It's about defence contractors making trillions of dollars.
