This is what I'd be looking at in terms of engine upgrade in the future... mini engine... turbo'd etc..
no mods req to bolt in etc

    EDIT:.... & yes... Born Hard
Gidday LilSel, you will defiantly need to put in discs if your going 1275 plus. The Metro calliper conversion is worth doing providing you go 12 or 13 inch wheels .

I currently have a couple of Mini projects on the go. One is 1330 turbo based Mk1 club car and the other is BRG Mk1 which may end up with a 1000 block / 1300 head / Webber combo (currently has a 1000 engine).

Will watch your project with interest

    AWESOME!!! !!! Sounds fantastic!!

Yeah the disc brakes I looked around for were from the Metro, about $400 each I think?... but as you say... needed!!...

Will be a 'weekend' project putting the disc's on once mini is back together & on the road with the standard drums... I already have 10" cheviot mags on her

I have a set of twin SU carbs too that dad got for me since its been in the restoration process... Going to leave that for a 'weekend' project later on as well & just have her back together n going with the single carb.

On sunday we got the boot sprayed, now its just the inside/engine bay to go... then back start the process of putting her back together. Got a new wiring loom to go in first of all once the paintings all done.

Have a couple of bits on the way from the UK ... they should be here soon!... not taking any shortcuts with her

I have some pics of the boot that ill pop up shortly. Went with black for in there as I am going to make a boot 'tidy' of sorts carpeted in black.
Have seen sooo much stuff on the net & in the miniworld magazines (I buy them whenever I see them n read every bit of it n get all kinds of ideas!!)

I had a thought the other day... it was along the lines of 'once this mini is back on the road n looking mint...I should get another n make a race mini out of it... ' thats something I would be way interested in!!... seen them on the tv racing at pukekohe some time ago... thought to myself... 'I Wanna do that!!' ... where there's a will theres a way... I have a lot of will too lol!!!

Funny really , KB seems to be a social networking site that talks about most things. I guess you can post anything so long as you don't mention the word "cage" or "car" ........ Back on track ..... Ducati wins MotoGP well before end of season.
