I saw a clock on a bike on trademe once, mounted on the handlebars...now that seems like a damn good idea to me.
Pushing up sleeves to see a watch while riding isn't on my to do list at this point
Does anyone know if there is a purpose made bike clock or of another product that could do the job?

My new CBF250 has a digital clock incorporated in the speedo/fuel gauge dial thingy, and it is great-except it makes me go faster when I can easily see I am late for work!

Perhaps you could strap your watch (waterproof of course) to your handle bars??

i have a old g shock waterproof watch strapped on by speedo only takes a glance to see time, does the job ok

It's cheaper to strap an old watch on, but yes Oxford do a range of them and they are available at all good bike shops.

I just got given one for my birthday, it has a thermometer in it too (quite an accurate one we have discovered) and that'll be handy for Australia when I exclaim "Gosh, it's 39 degrees!"

I have a bit of a sheild on my bike, so have mounted a $13 clock from DSE on it (yay for double sided tape). A bit hard to describe but I wedged the clock between the screen and the "dash". The reason I went this way is the screen is a decent size so easy to see quickly. The fact it is under the screen means I didn't need to get a waterproof one.

i tried my g shock strapped to the bars, but the strap wouldnt pull tight enough. so now i just take my cellphone and check when i feel i need to. [which isnt often]

time becomes unimportant when im on a long-ish ride.

All our bikes sport clocks!
$2 shop watch with the strap removed, stuck on to the steering head with a velcro dot.
None of them have ever been stolen, damaged by the rain or blown off. A cheap solution, indeed!

I got an old watch with a broken strap, cut the strap off and used adhesive velcro to stick it onto an empty patch of dash. So if it was raining heavily, or it was dark, or I didn't really care what time it was, I could remove it.
My long term solution was to buy a new bike that has a clock on it.

Supercheap sell a clock for $2 that has large numbers and comes with a plastic thing it slots into making it removable and some double sided sticky tape. Seems to work really well. Not water proof but holds up ok and if it gets wet inside drys out within a day or so.

Why not just pull up outside an Old Folks Village and rev the shit out of your bike. Within a few minutes someone will open a window and shout..
"Oi! Pack it in! Don't you you it's xxxx O'clock and I'm trying to sleep!!"

I had one of those. Lasted about 3 months before it died or ran out of batteries.

Didn't bother replacing it as who really cares what time it is when you're riding? Isn't being free from the cellphone and clock one of the pleasures of riding?

Tried that and it went for a while but it clapped out after about two months so I got an oxford one in the hopes that I won't need to replace it anytime soon.

my bike has a clock built into the speedo
