    Overnight at the "Tip"?

Sooo, who would be up for a camp out on the Coromandel Tip over the late spring/summer.(Get ya own tent ya weirdo's).
Thinking pre Xmas, or after summer school holidays.
Easy gravel roads, DOC camp areas, and both sides are different in there flura/fauna.
Couple of pics from last trip to get ya thinking.

Will be great fun on the Sherpa, just watch the grip of those knobblies round the 25 corners. Pic below is my tyre after the last trip up, but I was pushing it to keep up with some 250 sportbikes and only had one moment when the back let go for a second.

Maybe be keen to go on this trip depending on dates. another Corro trip!

"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather, and if it looks good for the weekend 27/28 Oct I'm planning to do a quick o/night camp at either Port Jackson, or Fletcher bay DOC site.(both on the west side of the tip).
Basic overnight tent gig. Will do a "Heads up" post after Labour weekend. (need to break the new boots in prior to the WWW Adv ride.
Meet in Thames or any other suggestions after a weather decision is made by Wens 24 Oct.

If the weather is a bit"blowy" on the west side for a tent, Stony Bay on the East side also has camp areas. Fingers crossed for a settled weekend.

Unfortunately I'm unlikely to have a bike by then & Rosie only gets back from Oz on the Sat night. We might try for a mid Dec run up there if nothing gets in the way. Have fun.

    Cheers
