I'm sure I've seen various politicians and community leaders riding HD's so I'm pretty confident riding something as capable and respectable as a big black Tiger will be very much in keeping - just the thing to keep travel expenses down for overtaxed rate payers

If anyone is interested in the black topbox in the photo its going to be for sale - I would have kept it if the mount was the same as my big one but its not and I need to use the big one. If interested then drop me a line.

Okay, the KB Birthday Bash is only 10 days away. Who's doing what?
There was talk earlier about a "small diversion" via the West Coast - is anyone doing it? Mutley and I won't be up for that, but we were discussing the idea of a trip "up the middle" if the weather was okay. We were considering the possibility of overnighting in Cromwell on the Friday, and then heading north via the Lindis Pass and the Mackenzie Country on Saturday. Far nicer roads and better scenery than the east coast (if this bloody weather improves...).
Accommodation in Ch-ch, we were thinking of booking a motel somewhere reasonably close to the venue. We could see if we can get a bigger unit if anyone is looking for accommodation.

Sadly CB and I cant be there, - what with getting THIS weekend off for a hot-rod run and then getting the Magpie weekend off and THEN the Great Southern KB Get-together at at the Staging Post I can't get anymore weekends off for a bit.
(Well, not the ones I'm meant to be working night-shift).

When we were looking for accomodation up there for the Passes ride , Owen/Farque sent some links to a central backpackers that had parking available for bikes. That usually works out $20-25 pp. Follow up with him if interested.
