Well, did you get home safely?

Heh, well I was busy cleaning with my olds at that time, though around 3ish I took off to do some errands around East Tamaki... and then I tootled my way home via Whitford/Maraetai/Twilight Rd/Ardmore Quarry road and points in between

T'was luvverly, only saw a couple of bikers in all that time! Summit' to do with the wind methinks?

Poopers, tomorrow I have to write reports... if I can finish them off early, mayhap I may go for a ride as well!

Well guys, Delusionz had a bad bad rear tyre puncture just after leaving Bethells beach lol
Unfortunately Bethells beach was "no cell phone network area". So Delusionz took my bike for a spin

I was left (volunteered to look after the GPX) behind waiting. lol Funny thing is, most people who drove pass wound their windows and asked me "Are you alright?" as if I was involved in an accident lol! Oh yes, my helmet was on the ground and I was sitting on my bum.

There was this lady on a black Toyota MR2 came by and after hearing the situation, she drove north, south, east and west to find if she can help us. So kind...

After about an hour, Delusionz came back with a good news lol
Few minutes later his mate and his father came with a big big van lol (got pics, upload later)
We loaded the bike into the van and everything was over

However I stayed behind just to say "Thank you" and tell the situation was over to the nice lady in MR2.

After that I went home. The sun was down and the Scenic Drive was going to pitch black darkness. However I got home safely

Lesson learnt: "Solo riding with puncture would be a disaster! Esp in the "no cell phone network" area! Ride in a pair or a group = good!"

I sure am but I have been sick for the last 8 days and certainly don't want anyone else to get sick! My voice is only now starting to come back after a throat infection. Maybe next time though. Always keen to ride and meet more KB riders.

Will do. There may be a 'maha ride' organised soon enough for the weekend after next that I am very likely to attend. bmz2 may be there also and his M109R is modified considerably.

I can't make the all-day cruiser ride next Saturday though.... I am playing golf so I have been told.
