SV1000S K6 High micron carbon pipes

Just thought I'd share my latest mod, I had micron carbon cans on my SV but wanted high mounted pipes.. so I spent a few hours checking out other brands of bikes (hard work man!) and came up with a solution, So here's a few pics of my handy work. Apparently it sounds the same to observers but it's louder and throatier to the rider..Sweeet

    Looks different!!
Why would you want to do that??
It would have still looked awesome with the microns bolted on in the standard position.

Looks good! Had you looked at an under tail set of cans? It kinda looks like that's sorta where you're headed with the high mounts...?

No, the carbon cans don't get that hot.. even after a thrash around the track, I also tried hard to position them out of the way

Unbolted and remounted the cans where I wanted them, then dropped the header system off.. cut the end flanges off and bolted them to the cans, cut the header pipes back to just under the foot rests..then fabricated and tig welded 316 stainless pipe/ bends to join headers to cans.
