    It really is an incredible road, and totally agree with you about staying on it. Yes, one could quite easily disappear in that country. Cheers

    Yeah cheers mate, not worried about making it through, just not interested in doing endless k upon k of metal road. 16 clicks is do-able though if the pay off is such wicked scenery and so forth.
    Traveled more metal road in my life than I really care for on a road bike anyway, if I was riding something more suitable then bring it on but i'm not so....I can do a bit but strictly "a bit" for this guy.

    The Forgotton gravel is really no big deal. In fact, the worst part of it was getting the bikes dirty after looking so clean from the rain.

    Nice piccies,almost see me smiling inside helmet,good to see you got home safely,rumour has it your next ride will be with sarah on the back about 4.45pm friday nov 9th around the square lol.Typical weather here,crap today till now,clearing up.Lucky with weather as just before we arrived in Whanga we got several spits,blew away and as pics show cleared up.
