Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?
Ahhh man, looks like I'll be missing the Thursday nite meet 3 weeks in a row since i got into the defensive course (tues and thurs)
Ah well, means ill be on my full a lot quicker.
Nice one Ooonit... do you get one of those white canes or a labrador with handlebars??

Built for speed, not for comfort
It's 4 x 2 hour class sessions then a one hour drive to see you took in what you learnt. The car part lasted 20 mins for me though, as most of the content is preparation for the full car test, so yeah, not really a motorcycle orientated course. It's really just a cash cow aimed at those who want to get their car licences quicker - I had 20 years on all on the course I was on. Some were my son's class mates lol.
Regardless, it's still not a bad course that makes you think more about "what if" and teaches you to see hazards as much more than visual. You are the biggest hazard sometimes. Recognising when you are feeling 'off' can save your life
I am going to make my son do it when he gets past 6 months on his Restricted.
Same one as for the cage licence, so its all car orientated.
I talked to the wife of the guy who's running it about the whole 'driving' part of the course, and they said since its mainly just hazard identification it should be ok for me to just jump in the passenger seat and do the same stuff without driving.
Which is good.
