Im moving to a new flat. My flatties giving me a computer so I want to get decent speed internet BUT I dont want to have to have to use Telecom either..... Anyone know of an alternative that I wont have to have a landline to have decent internet at a reasonanble price?

X-Net do a total deal that includes phone and Internet for $40 a month.

Yes, because you need it for your DSL link, however their phone is VOIP, so it bypasses Telescum nicely.

naked requires a phone line ... but not operational (thats the best I can explain it I think)
it will cost about $5 / month with telecom to have a naked dsl line

We use Raider dial-up, $7.95 unlimited /month and its way faster then the Telecom dial-up. Have put some friends on to them for the Broadband and they say it's good too.
