We called in to se ehow the new house is coming along then went for a little tootle up to the windmills, then back through Gorge, Akautere ( spelling ) then home....

The condition of the saddle road I think is worse than it was a few weeks ago. Some loose gravel on corners...

Nice bikes Alistair, was on way to work, filled up with gas at servo prior,a nice triumph 595? came in,parked away from me,and started pumping diesel, not sure how much went in but think it was most of tank. The diesel pump is right next to the 91 pump, and only diesel on car area, rest are 91 & 95 together. He arrived and was filling as I'd gone into pay,if the servo wasn't busy and eftpos slow could've alerted him,as it was as I went to my bike he said holy shit, was running lateish so had to leave, easy to do if not alert to pumps. You think a red, black or green pump handle is enough to remind you,but if you are usually in diesel vehicle for work it's possibly easy to do,haven't yet touchwood.

That poor bike....I have almost done it.. As you said, so used to filling the truck with diesel so this time I grabbed the black handle totally forgetting I was on the bike.. Luckily I caught myself before I squeezed..

A few years ago I let a mate use my lawn mower, came back dirty, empty and not working, sent it in to be fixed, the guy in the mower shop said to me never lend ya mower or wife to mates, they'll both come back fucked. Also applies to chainsaws.

oh. your not joking?? You havent noticed the 1001 rall cars around palmy of late? The radio going on and on about it? Every time you step outside a rally car goes past? Saddle road was on Friday. It was on the tv and everything.

I am being serious.. I normally follow this stuff religously....I love rallying but ever since I got the Duc, nothing else seems to matter anymore.

I haven't seen a rally car as I work in Wanganui everyday so out of town between 0700 and 1730.... The only thing that screams passed my place is snotty nosed, pimply face boyracer GITS!!! I should be so lucky as to have a spec'd WRX or EVO or classic 2wd come passed here...
