FOR SALE: 1990 Kawasaki ZXR250A2 LOWERED PRICE 2.8k

    EDIT:

    price lowered: 2.8k....

    cash....

    ride it away.

Alright ill put my baby up for sale, as i want to get into racing so need a toy with a bit more get up and go for that , if i don't sell i will just race the 250... but would prefer it was being ridden daily and somebody making better use of it than taking it into streetstock and thrashing the poor thing.

so as sad as i am to part with her i would rather she lives on how she is....

looks just like the pictures but has tail lights headlights...plate and indicators fitted...and mirrors...in the pictures all road stuff had been taken off just incase i sent her down the track at taupo..which i didn't

i myself have only taken this bike out for one trackday...on sunday at taupo...old owner did not take it on track as far as i know and he had it for approx 2 years as far as i know.

    pictures are here...

Am open to swaps on 400cc racebikes...or anything decent and sporty that i can turn into a racebike...no evil 2 strokes though..... and no 250's does not matter if bike is deregistered....

1990 ZXR250A2 (kiss arm swingarm model)

Near new tyres front and rear - Dunlop Gpr A-10 Sp Race

Has had new front discs put on last year.

Just replaced brake pads all round

Oil and filter change has just been done also

Clutch has been grunted up to bite better.

NSR 250 single seat fibreglass tail.

Oxford LEDicators - LED indicators on the rear - standard indicators on front

Fibreglass front fairing and right hand side fairing. (left fairing is plastic and needs plastic welding on one upper mount)

Engine was replaced recently and now has 30,000 k's approx on this engine the bike itself has done 60,000

Forks do not leak at all.

The rear shock has been replaced with one with adjustable damper or compression i cant remember....basically you just click the wheel round (has 4 different postions) and it gets harder....also has a spring preload adjustment but as with most bike you need a c spanner to adjust it...

it is a genuine kawasaki shock but was not factory...it was an extra goodie you could buy...

Is running a zx9r racecan - straight through with perforated tubing inside - nice and loud amazing tone.

Carbs have been rejetted to allow for the more free flowing muffler.

The paintjob is just a spraycan job done in quite a hurry to tidy it up. as it looked a bit silly with red tank and fairings with a different coloured tail.

so to be honest cosmetically it's not the prettiest thing

but mechanically it is extremely well cared for and thats what truely matters good for perhaps a new rider, ,if ya have the money...you could paint it up pretty....as the nsr tail section makes it stand out from the rest...

    WOF runs out Jan 2008

REGISTRATION runs out in November 2007

    Redlines at 19k

    $4k O.N.O

But hey make me an offer and we can talk...

    Cheers: Mark

Send me a private message if keen

or post any questions that you think others might like to know answers too incase ive forgotton anything...

    Or call / txt my cell with any questions (can't txt 027's though only 021's LOL ) 021 250 76 71

Alrighty stopped being lazy today and took some piccys...as you can see cosmetically it is rough...was aiming for 4k ....look up any on trademe you will not find one as mechnically sound for this price....

but as i have said an offer and i'm negotiable

i have left them fullsize but lowered quility from my digital....

so you can get a decent look at it....

no point saying the paintjobs pretty or anything because it aint haha.

have included photos of tyre tread..... and you can also see disc thickness....

    cheers

    Thumbs up

Good luck on the sale Mark

I would have seriously considered swapping for my ZX9R this time last year, but I'm moving house and need to keep the big bike

however; my girlfriends wanting to know if you'd consider swapping for the 9? (it still needs abit of work).
I should have PM'd oops ... MSN me please.
I wave to every biker I see.

Yeah for 4K u should get something rather decent. Now that matter of the rider is the other question.

Does this mean your going to give up riding on the road once you get the licience back? It was previously stated that you should wait until you have your full licience back, which would be a very good idea. Great thing wanting to get into racing, but I'd suspect it won't be cheap. You won lotto reciently dude?
