Best turn out Ive seen so far. 24 bikes I think, with half staying in stokes valley and half heading over the hill.

A couple of hairy moments coming back, just over the summit on the first piece of straight wind hit me like a truck...kept it upright though so lived to fight another day.

And the best news for me was my bike didnt play up at all...unlike in the weekend...

That was a superb trip and I'm surprised at how pleasant and accommodating the Tin Hut is now!

Good to see everyone and meet some new people. Lucky old AJturbo got to meet everyone for the first time for the third time! The man's a goldfish!

Especially nice to see DMTD there on his 14. Looks very nice in black. The bike looked quite good in black too.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

So True, I think I have meet him about 5 times now, still asks who I am... hmm maybe its just an old age thing. Or I am unforgettable... yea that would be it.

I was surprised it wasnt as windy as I thought it would be, although I never actually went up the hill. Elle wants us to go to her pizza place more in the summer, less wind and more sun.

Good night, hopefully I can make the next one, and meet some new peoples.

Yeah it was definitely a good ride. I always thought the "tin hut" was a bit of a rough and tumble place,I wasn't expecting a huge wine list written on the wall.
It was an intersting trip coming back over the hill. That wind was really bad near the top.
I tried to drag Ocean1 off at the lights. I'm sure he was short shifting and still making me look like a twat, lying flat on the tank giving it full noise
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

Well, given that I'd stalled the feckin thing twice tonight you stood a reasonable chance dude.

    Yes? And?

I on the other hand, had already notice last Saturday that you have eyeballs. You just weren't using them at the time.

Stokes Valley and Whitemans Valley Blue Mountains Road

Five of us left the Duckpond and rode to Stokes Valley spending 50 minutes non-stop doing some slow bike control routines that included rides u-turns and figure eight turning. Then it was across to Silverstream and up Blue Mountains Road and out passing The Short Straw Cafe to the end of that part of the valley where an emergency braking routine was done.

We returned back down to Silverstream and stopped at the local bar opposite the railway station for refreshment.

Had the weather been more favourable I would have travelled over to Carterton tonight, be that as it may, the evenings ride was enjoyable and those attending commented that it was good to spend some time doing some of the slow control routines. The ride duration in both Stokes Valley and Whitemans Valley was 90 minutes.
I arrived back home in Stokes Valley at 8.35pm

    Heads Up and Enjoy

Was a great ride last night.. a few delays along the way, like assisting RWH trying to get his lil pinki into his new gloves I did suggest cutting it off but that didn't go down to well. Then at the botom of the hill a familiar hicup started... running out of gas .... Where the .. is the reserve! ...

I was happy to see that the Tin Hut still has the olives on the counter. Great turn out
