Most stupid law ever. Lets limit Kiwi's to buying fireworks for 2 or 3 days a year. So what happens, they go out and buy a huge stockpile of them and stick them in the shed or spare room to use for the rest of the year. That's so much safer.

What else can you expect from a government that treats us all like children.

Look at the smacking bill and they way that they carry on, saw a Labour man bash a guy with a loud haler on telly tonight.

It's funny how sparklers have to be solds as part of a "package" deal of explosives! "Oooarr.. people make sparkler bombs out of them is what!"

And yet, in our very kitchens and under the laundry cupboard are gems that are far more explosive in effect!

I'm still waiting for the right chance to use my floating battleship and aircraft carrier firecracker package ... along with the firecracker tanks that actually trundle along before being hit by the equiv. of an APFSDSDU round

i'm just sitting here in my lounge looking at the west from waterview and i'm seeing one of the best fireworks displays for a long time

well ... i did the right thing and rang the local FD and told them i was having a bonfire and what not ..

There is no way i'm paying the call out fee if some kill joy calls out the fire dept on me ..

The Swoop had his annual bonfire the other day... getting rid of garden trimmings before planting the veggies, etc.
Bloody new neighbours that have moved in! I might have to file a complaint with the Waitangi Tribunal for "preventing traditional ceremonies"

Just a shame that the council nazi went away with a name of J. Smith...
