There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!
Explain this to me, because it's not something I've ever understood.
What is the point of hanging around in a very noisy, badly-lit room, slowly getting a headache from dehydration and various mind-altering substances, with ridiculously loud and awful music assaulting your eardrums, and no chance of conversing with anyone whatsoever unless you bellow at the top of your lungs an inch away from their head?
Oh, yeah, you get to stand in the middle of a flat space and get sweaty armpits while wiggling around out of time to the aforementioned awful music.
Yeah. 'Clubbing'. Yay.
Shudder.
Anyone who enjoys that shit is instantly disqualified as anything more than a passing acquaintance, as far as I'm concerned.

I found the same thing when I used to go out with friends a lot. I like to go out 'clubbing' because I love dancing! But the amount of guys who grope you is disgusting. I didn't quite realise it until I didn't go for a while (was far too cold!!) and then went out recently and had guys all over me, like, give me some space!
So I think I will restict my dancing to my house from now on. Even dancing at concerts is terrible. Guys seem to think that cause you are shaking your ass they have to grab it!!
I thought it was an Auckland thing, good to know it isn't just us!!
Must be nation wide. I haven't been for years but used to go for a girls night out to dance too-not to pick up guys
.
I did come across afew nice guys that did just want to dance-and have to tell you all that in my twenties got asked to dance by a gentleman who was here to race at Manfield-he told me and his friend were professional bike riders- my friend and I laughed........but I had a lovely dance with Roger Freeth-RIPDidn't know who he was at the time but a genuine person and excellent biker/driver.
Oh dear, another sad little post from the man who thinks sarcasm is wit.
I must be getting old, cos I'd tend to agree...when I was 16, I used to go clubbing a lot, to "rave parties" and the likes as well...
And admitedly, back then I had a whale of a time.
But now, I prefer a good BBQ on the deck in summer with a good bunch of mates and some witty repartee...
I guess a lot of young people have to go through that stage...Gawd, I sound like my mother

Yeah I'm not into clubs anymore either. Not all clubs are the same- "drinkers" clubs are the meat markets where people go to hook up, dance music clubs - are where people go to dance - drugs are optional - loads of people go along straight as a die and have a blast.
Likewise.
I therefore restrict my physical endeavours to things that do not require grace and skill, or getting all sweaty in the middle of a room packed with people at midnight, and tend to engage in social activities that require activation of something other than the reptilian hindbrain.

What is most annoying though, is when someone goes to "dancing places" (ie: ceroc or other) to really enjoy the dancing, and morons use it as a potential pick up place...
I'm not saying everyone attending is like that, and I'm not saying all women don't want someone to pick them up there, but lame pick up lines and aggressivity from guys (when they get turned down by someone who's obviously not interested) really ruins the enjoyment of what should be a pleasant dancing time.
No such thing as a nice guy angels, we are all lazy, selfish, arrogrant remote control hogging bastards. Don't waste your time looking, if you go looking you'll never find "Mr Right" (and not beacause there aren't any left). Now, where is that remote?
A nice Pit
