Well, the victim was a puddle afterwards.
But I can't see what they're getting upset about - the cure had a permanently effective outcome.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

I am so over this cultural shit that it's beyond a joke now. We've just got to get rid of this ridiculous Government and put an abrupt stop to this and all the other shit going on.

On law for all. If you don't like it, get the fuck out of my country.
Read what it says and wait for outcome before jumping up and down.

While the investigation was being treated as a homicide, there were a lot of legal and cultural issues to work through.

The Police are treating the death as homocide and have simply qualified some issues.......they have not said that they are not taking action.

    Question

Maybe we should all band together being the superior race and all and sort them out?

I have no prob with cultural practices.. Fill yer boots I say... Not much different to heading off the the kirk on a sunday if you are that way inclined.

The issue is always where do you draw the line... male circumcision is OK female - not OK... Dropping a hangi in the back yard is OK, strangling a pig on the front yard is not OK...

Ceremony - OK, fatal ones - erm no.. I guess like all cultures Maori are inflicted with neer do wells who claim all sorts of magical ability to work wonders and I'll bet a sack full of shaved weasels that money changed hands to arrange this little shin dig... hence - dumb as a puddle and no - thats not confined to maoridom..

Besides - if you got a fatal curse for thieving stuff - half of NZ would be dead..

I've had one of these procedures performed on me when I was a child, unfortunately they failed and I am still cursed with my endowment of a large penis.

No, no sorry Chris...my comment was actually directed at the photo itself and what it represents. It affected my family heavily in the 2nd World War, so I guess it's a little close to home.

I know you'd never see anything like this with any other meaning than sarcasm (and yes, it did suit the thread, I agree).

Well, some of the PC stuff surrounding the Maori issue is utter bullshit. I say this as a foreigner in NZ!

E.g. my girlfriend is doing research at the hospital here in Chch. Usually when they're done with a blood sample they just chuck it in the sink. This is obviously not good enough for the maoris... no, no, the blood needs to be fucking blessed before they can chuck it out!

Almost no maoris are organ donors because they state that their traditional values are opposed to it. Bullshit, traditionally they'd take the heads of their fallen comrades home and bury them! (And no, I'm not making this one up either!)

But the worst bogus bullshit I've heard about from in there was this: They were taking a project proposal through all the necessary bureaucratic institutions(e.g. ethical commitee, maori commitee, ) necessary to get it approved. Their project had been approved by the maori commitee already but was then failed at the ethical commitee because their testing group didn't include any maoris!!! I mean FFS it's not like there are heaps of maori willing to participate in medical test as it is - and doing research on the impact of genetic profiles on drug usage requires that you have a fairly consistent testing group. I was just dumbfounded!
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)
