    Hi All

I just thought i'd share some excitment

just found out a close friend has been in labour since 3am with her first kid i'm so excited for her cause in a few weeks i also get to see and hold this new person

It also got me thinking after her 19 hours and still going. How long was yours, partners or wives labours

MrsB was in labour with our first for something like 48 hours. Weirdly enough this epic event coincided with the biggest thunder storms seen in Christchurch for many many years. It started when she started, finished when she finished......I try not to any MrsB too much now.....

I took 28 hours too pop out. I was 2 weeks late and a 10 pounder. No wonder my mother hates me!

I am soooooo in denial about how he's going to get from inside to outside!!! LOL

(do you think getting blind drunk on the day they decide they're going to arrive would cause any harm? Surely all the development's been done by the time they're cooked...?!)

Ok how about this then for short labour from one family.
I only took a short time to get here, my daughter 6lb 15oz (2 days overdue) was only just over 4 hours and my grandaughter 4lb 15 1/2 oz (5 weeks prem) took less than hour with a couple of pushes to arrive.

Well my first born took ten ana half hours and weighed in at 6lb 13oz. .....but the one thing they never told us at antenatal classes was the 'Grazing'!! Once baby's head crowns and ya give that last big push....it goes something like this >> and all that delicate skin tears and its like gravel rash. Wish someone had told me about the grazing beforehand so I could have prepared for it.

But the next two were no worries.
