Thumbs down (Thread dredge) Biker down - Auckland (16 November 2007)

Another biker was hit today morning while commuting on the busy Auckland streets. Some of you might know Matt (Winter) a fellow kber. He was hit by a car and broke both his arms in 2 places each. He is currently in Auckland hospital Yard 75 room 2 in case anyone wants to visit. He asked me to post this up here as a reminder to all bikers. Ride safe out there folks and remember cars can't c u so well. He is the 2nd guy this week who has not got off so lucky.

Shizen... not good to hear, I hope heals up quickly ... thanks for the heads up.

Yard 75? Izzat meant to be Ward 75? Sheesh, I knew they were short on space, but that takes the cake!

Bugger! Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. Having one's arms or hands out of action really puts a damper on life.

Don't know him either but all the best wishes of recovery...

What is it with the injury rate lately? Are we just noticing it more, or are they happening more often than normal?

You trusted the text spelling of someone on drugs and with two broken arms?

    Anyway "get well soon winter!"

Any more info about how it happened? Or do we need to wait for his arms to heal up so he can tell us about it himself?
There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!
