Alrighty then....Rear tyre should be able to hang in there for one more friday night cruise I think......
Hope it does'nt take as long as the last time I was waiting on Yamaha bits from Japan, wanted an expansion chamber for a IT250 I had and I waited 3 months for it!!! Still you probably did'nt want to here that
Blardy good idea![]()
I may not be able to make tonights ride team... At this stage I will be tearing my rear shock out and stripping it down so I can send spring measurements to the suspension GURU!!!! Sounds like my rear spring is totally wrong for me and Robert Taylor has come to the party with a phone call full of advise and great ideas..!!!
Gonna catch some shut eye, see whats happening when I get up, if the weather is not super duper awesome I might give tonight a miss in favour of a saturday or sunday ride.
Oh and Yod, went in this morning and had a squize at that Sprint, it's on sale on behalf, some older dude, local guy. It's done 9K and thay want 16 gg's for it and it would come with a new rear tyre.
Been a nana rider too, just incase you were feeling racey they've got a black K6 Gixxer thou done 3.5k for 15 gg's.
Will do mate... Blardy good chatting to Robert...
I think a planned ride at some stage over to the new suspension shop in New Plymouth sometime would be on the cards.... Suspension now fascinates me.. I want to learn learn and learn some more...
My rebound sounds like it is set way up the wack too so I am looking forward to having it sorted and riding a bike that handles the way it should....
Sun is shining and the roads are dry out here guys
a friend of mine is coming on his sprint
but as you can see, I have been a busy boy.....
Let it be known that when you remove your rear shock the bike is going to want to drop like a sack of spuds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHA but alas, quick thinking fella here see's a gap between the frame and swingarm that something needed to be shoved into in order to save the monsters life....
Unfortunately the only thing I had to put in there was my thumb!!!Still a little numb and luckily still there..
Anyway, you can see in the pics how messy things get without the right tools... Need C spanner damn it..
Blimey! Well saved! You need a pulley in the rafters there Lee. Glad you aren't an amputee too
Well, another bloody good Fri nite ride. Excellent roads and company as per usualNo moments and good to see a very nicely preserved Sprint out there as well.
