Yep it was a good day to ride around the block so we did.

A pity that some of you had other thing to do and had to get back to CHCH.

We got a little bit of rain, but not enough to worry about.
I think that it was ahead of us and later behind us.
There are still a few (small) road works here and there on the Lewis Pass.

Good to meet some new people and I hope you enjoyed your ride as well.

Here we were worried about getting petrol for the bikes.
And then it dawned on me, while riding to the first tank top up.
That it was not a public holiday on the Coast and was a normal Friday, so every thing was open.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Nice pictures there for an older fella.
Would be nice to have a few more scenic stops, but then it would have been home much later. Gotta figure a practical camera mount etc.

    Wicked wicked, and seriously "overrated"

    Why thank you sir.

The camera thing is an interesting one. Love to take more photos, especially scenic ones but are a little too lazy to stop once underway. Need to set the bike up as a mobile camera with several lenses, a screen, and a little controller where you can cycle through the different lenses and take a photo. Be perfect.

Indeed, I am thinking now along the lines of a microchip sd type card that can be implanted into the side of my skull, which wires into the nerves of my eyes, and when I give a little genie twitch of my nose, the appropriate snap is rendered, in such resolution that zomming/cropping would not hinder quality. And even go to the next level where my optic nerve can also be used to capture real time video, but all in all, the next level is "overrated".
