I read all of that, expecting the last line to be "Then I woke up from my bad dream"...
Good save, young man. Bloody woolly chicanes eh?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Nice save Scummie!

    Harley motards RUUUUULE.

I think you need to go back to the lamb and tell it you are sorry you scared it, lest someone end up with a tough Christmas roast.

Bloody good effort there scummy, well done.
I would have gone back and had a 'brief chat' with the lamb, and put what was left in the freezer.

Thanks for the guys!! Not a nice feeling when thinking your pride'n'joy is about to cart-wheel down the road with you following - or worse, tangled with it.

I'm going to do some 'figerin' out' with my 'clakit poculater' and figure out what angle I must have been on at the time I was sliding.

Couldn't find a flat spot on the tyre but I left a goodly length tyre-mark on the road, also for the scuff marks (at right-angles to normal travel) to be 360 around the tyre the tyre would have to have been turning on its axis as I slid.

CB said she looked up to see the T-Sport at an impossible angle heading across the road in a cloud of 'dust' (tyre-smoke!) and her heart sank....

In afterthought: IF I had slowed down straight away on seeing the Lamb1 the above MIGHT not have happened - but then I would have taken forever to get home if I did that EVERY time I saw a lamb at the side of the road. (I didn't see Lamb2 until it emerged from long grass about 8 feet from the road edge anyway)

The lamb? Gone - just like most forms of life that cause mayhem on the road.
I felt like goiing back with my silent 22 and shoot every lamb out on the road in the area - the fences would be fixed quick-smart then I bet.

How is it that an 'item' that is so (claimed) valuable is allowed to push through fences and wander aimlessly up and down the road edge??

If it was law that all stray animals could be claimed by whoever 'found' them roaming there would be an upsurge in the sale of good fencing gear.

    Rant over - for now!

Nah man - they got the law written to suit them.

IF there's a documented history of his animals escaping constantly MAYBE he MIGHT be prosecuted - but don't hold your breath.

In MY opinion they should be prosecuted - it would make them improve their fences no end. (After all, OSH screw a company that doesn't have efficient guards over moving machinery etc.)
