They certainly won't do anything if you don't report it.

If you do, though, they may at least add one to the list of incidents they couldn't attend due to lack of funding ... helping the campaign for more?

I have no evidence such a list exists, but I live in hope.

Karma would have been someone my size coming along at that time... or me... I love hoodies!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

What, and no sign of the security guards Tranz Metro employ for their late night services or was this earlier in the day? Were they all off having a smoke themselves?
    Cheers

I do hope you have reported this incident to the police, you were very lucky their next victim may not be !!
I'm with that. Don't think you owe them any favours just because one talked the other's 'off.' People have been killed for less.

Wot she said! If the girl hadn't recognised you, would she have talked them out of it?

You should definitely report it, despite what some here have said, the Police take a dim view of this sort of thing and may well do something.

Marty's post demonstrates how understaffed and stretched they are, so have some sympathy for their difficulties, but I'd still hammer away at them.

Oooh, smokers unite and congregate in Welly for some restorative vigilante justice/prevention?

Yep, you guy's are prob right but its been too long now and I just havent got the time to get to the Popo station. I start work at 7.30 and leave any time between 5.30 and 8 by then the station is closed and if I wish to make a complaint or whatever I have to go to the Station, I work down the other end of town. I think its time to buy a gun, might be the only way to really feel safe and imagine the respect i'd get from my team @ work!
