Think it was buried by TV2 at midnight on tuesday / wednesday. Not sure what season they are up to. I've just added pilot + season 1 & 2 to my movieshack account. As with all good tv shows best to download or rent dvd's. TVNZ crap in terms of airing decent shows.

On similar note what programs & sites do people use to download tv & stuff?Been using Azerus and PirateBay. Would like something a bit faster.

No, never shown in NZ, they have just finished series 2 at that very late slot, but not series 3 yet. God, it's good! I thought Firefly was the ultimate, but Battlestar is a whole other kettle of fish.
We just finished a semi-marathon at my flat, watching 3 episodes a night for the whole of series one and two.
    GOOD!

you naughty fellow, you are committing a crime!
However, those two you mentioned are pretty much as fast as possible, there are heaps of torrent sites but they will all be about the same speed, it depends on the person seeding at the other end.

What few episodes I did watch were really good and gritty. Battle Star at leas tried to offer some credibilty to the events and the environment it portrayed.

Firefly was brilliant concept. Unfortunately the lead charecter never developed the rawness that Hans Solo did in Starwars. There were some interesting charecters in Firefly that were never fully developed. The most interesting was the girl: the doctors sister. Much could have been made of her. The Courtesan also was a novel concept way before it's time. Again never developed to it's potential but still interesting.

Yes, grittiness! Imagine how good Star Trek could have been if it had had that grittiness, the grimness and grime. Star Trek was just too clean, too bright and light.
Interestingly, my favourite episode of Star Trek was where the storyline followed three Ensigns who were about to be sent on a special mission from the enterprise. It didn't feature the central characters at all, and instead focused closely on the daily lives of a regular crew person on board the enterprise. At the end of the episode you saw the three ensigns sent on the mission, and in the last two minutes you found out that they all died shortly thereafter. Very interesting episode, not upbeat at all. It shared that with battlestar Galactica

Yea, quite enjoyed Firefly too, I agree about the sister, it was a missed opportunity to take the series to another level and make that much more interesting.

I use www.tvtorrents.com. I have most of the aired series, including season 3 if you wantum. I got halfway through season 3 and lost interest a bit, but will get around to the rest of them when we get a DVD player that works (never buy transonic ...)
Firefly rocked, but didn't rate and was expensive to make, compared with the fashionable "reality" tv shows. Also people who watch those shows are dumb enough to support advertisers, so are the perfect product...

I do, but I prefer to watche them on the TV rather than the computer. Convert Divx to DVD with WinAVi, open beer and watch. Next DVD player will have Divx play (and USB if I can afford it)
