Just had a week in Samoa. 26 degrees plus, Vailima lager @ $2.00. Biggest decision was whether to have a swim before or after lunch, aahh paradise. We even rented a 250 trailie for a day. There is no way you could wear riding gear here. You'd die of heat stroke in 5 minutes. I hate to admit it, but it was shirt, shorts and sandals. Helmet too though. Even then we were cooking. No protective gear certainly focusses the mind on hazards though. Samoans seem to have some kind of 6th sense when they overtake, because they certainly can't see what's around the next blind corner, it all works for them though, and there's NO cops.
