Well if you want really loud it should be fairly easy and very cheap to rent some Eon PA speakers. They aren't that big either. I have a mixer to drive them, and ipods and discmans can plug right in. Mics and instruments also can be if anyone cares to bring them along.

Folks I don't think I will be able to spend the night at the destination but depending on the day and time you guys leave Christchurch would it be possible to join you for the ride up?
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

You must have been reading my mind mate!! was just bout to put an update on the spit up!!!!!!

    SPIT UPDATE:

Ok.. I have booked a gas spit to be delivered Fri, as unfortunately the fire ban for the whole area has ruled out using the woodfire one..

The cost of the spit is $120.00 & includes a full tank of gas.. so if everyone could put in a couple of dollars to cover this, that would be bloody excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!

Doc has very generously donated a pig for the spit.. & is even freighting it down from AUCKLAND for the occassion!!!!!!!!!! & Timg has very generously donated a lamb (or part thereof..?)!! big ups to you both!!!!!!!!!!!

People.. please remember to bring all your own food for the weekend however!!! The spitfood is not going to be a big "feed" for everyone!!!!!! just a delectable snack!!!

There are a couple of kitchens available that have a good supply of pots & pans etc! so if ya wanna bring some spuds & veges etc to cook up to go with your feed of spitfood.. go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also.. the swimming pool is all cleaned out & ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Descisions decisions, mind made up at last!

Circumstances have dictated that I and possibly Mrs O/r will be attending the Staging post ride in on week end of 7-8 December!

New front brake disks to be fitted on Friday then on to the Southern KB ride in for Saturday at least. John.
