Sounds great I am really looking forward to it.

I loved akitio when we went there on V8's first KB trip out.
God what did we start there

When you say "what did we start there" are you referring to the ride to Akitio or to me getting in on these great rides? I'm not all bad am I? lol

BP Rangitiki Street (because most of us know where it is) at 9am. This gives plenty of time to get there and talk bull to people you only see once a year on these rides.

Wouldn't mind doing a scenic route out there if its a good day. The blue route on the map.

It's about 400ks or so all up from Palmy to Palmy. They do alternate between the saddle & the track so won't know for sure until ya sign up.

I think it may have cost about $20 last year for entry plus badge (badge optional) but that gets you a couple of snags and a drink at Woodville.

You're never gonna get lost and the ride spreads out heaps so you can stop wherever you feel the need for gas etc. They say to gas up at Woodville and that's probably a good idea considering your range. Be prepared to queue...

The shop at Pongaroa will probably be in action too so you could top up there and then you'll get to the beach and back to Danniverke no worries.

If the ride goes through Fielding I usually gas up there and I know I'll get right through to Danniverke - less of a queue etc.

There's drinkee's etc available at the beach.

so from himitangi normally head to feilding then across to woodville & join in the xmas parade etc ...then danniverke & inland from that point ?

betsy gets about 180 so should make it to danniverke unless its a real windy route on the way
