Ok, after a long day at work I have returned to find an epic thread, not really expected but shit happens.
I will conceed happily that I didn't know wether my antics would be well recieved, but given previous experience the crowd goes wild.
I started this thread to point out that I felt I gave more than enough room, and could see more of what was going on, (since I was standing up on the pegs that were an extra two feet off the ground).
I maintain it was as safe as any pass I've ever made, but now know not to do it past you again, (but probably will cos I dont like to back down).
To anyone else who's read this thread that I might one day do something similar past, I pre-emptively appologise.![]()
Didn't see the incident so can't comment on it.
But I will ask some questions which are aimed at anyone who is totaly in control and happy to pull stunts on a group ride.
Jared Love looped his 996 pulling a wheelie last year. Are you a better rider than him?
The worlds best stunters still occasionally make mistakes and crash. Are you better than them?
Loris Caporossi nearly looped his Ducati MotoGP bike a couple of seasons back doing a wheelie while celebrating. Are you a better rider than him?
Who wants to be the first KBer to fuck up and take out his mates?
My daughter telling me like it is:"There is an old man in your face daddy!"
Oh so sorry, thats right your were punting along out the back of gladstone on your non sports bike two up at a speed which made it impossible for the poor little hornet to get by.......(drew was following me at that point) So i guess it was the mono pulled past you on the gladstone hill road, you know the one that drew gave you plenty of room to sit back and admire!!!!! once again HTFU... or here's a better idea fuck off home!!!!![]()
I never implied I was better than anyone, I took a risk, as do we all when we thumb the start button.
I am saying it was as safe as any other pass, the unpredictable would have caused just as much damage were I on two wheels.
Biting off more than ya wana chew there fella, Tony is a mate of mine, and really wouldn't need any back up, but a lot of us down here would gladly side with him if you wanna start acting the tough guy.

You have to go around corners Flame. Wheelies are optional and a whole lot more difficult. In the Caparossi example, he'd just spent 45 mins going around corners as hard as he could, yet he nearly fucked up the one wheelie he pulled. As for the rest of your post, what are you on about? I'm asking people to consider that they might not be as in control as they think. The best riders in the world make mistakes, so why would any of us be infallable? And if they do fuck up, are they prepared to potentially take out their mates?

More hypocricy, sheer briliance on your part.
The iron is so thick I'm choking with laughter! You ignore most of what Tony says, and choose to taint the whole message by extracting only part.
Honestly people, are we so stupid to expect others to veiw our point when we will not try to see theirs?

Bwahahahahaha, Jarrod love DID loop his bike after a race, the same as Caparossi nearly did, just thought that was funny
No body is saying I'm infallable, under the circumstances I was in more control than some I've seen riding in a group on a twisty road.
The ONLY issue I paid any attension to was that I was being called recless for endangering others more than I needed to, I addressed it and explained how I saw it, then went on to point out the two faced (as I see it) attitude of those concerned.
I think this thread is exhausted now, so shall we call it a day?
Seems clear to me that there are those who feel that no rider should be put in any danger by another, whether that be for pulling stunts or speeding.
Then there are those who believe that stunts and speeding on public roads, when executed with skill and control whilst passing other riders are OK and should be admired.
Oh...and then there's those who don't have much to say at all!
Drew, have the last word mate.
