Well what a great day that was!!!! Was great to catch up with a few i hadn't seen for a while, and meet a few new people as well.... Stayed at Allen's Loved you for that, where we got free entertainment of stumbly Poo's and fruits slap and tickle , a middle of the night rocking session on the Quasi van which apparently created much havoc for the sleeping man inside (who wore his bike)
Cheers to All involved with the set up of the event.
Was great to catch up with the Mathie Family, can't wait to see you out on a KB ride .
Nice chatting with you Dale and will definatly catch up when we are there .
Boomer... Congrats on the wheelies mate much improved
What an entertaining day overall! Thanks everyone

    Thumbs up

Yeah what a GREAT day, started of shit on friday night after the trailor we hired was shit house; unpacked teh car and packed a ruck sack and left saturday at 5:30.

had fun belting around teh short track with Dodgy matt and logan.. and i do believe Kiwfruit gave us the learn!

had a wicked night.. a bbq and some beers then up early for an action packed day! Well done to all invloved.. perfect !!

Frenchy kindly showed me how the old girl wheelied.... "in C mode no less" for which I lost a box of beers!!! he also showed me how she liked to be high chaired, rolling burn outs and wheelies with a neutral engine..!!!

so then Korn had a spin on her as did Mr Jay Lawrence. Backin it in, fish tailing her... then it all seemed to go wrong. I shat my pants to see Jay fishtailing out of every corner and in the sweeper i was sure he'd gotten so close to a high side.. yeah his feet came of the pegs.. i got MT to black flag him.

it so happens that Jay is accustomed to such behaviour and when the bike, in road trim, spins up and steps out.. apparantly the talented amongst us let the feet of the pegs to let it settle... !!! go figure.

We were given an awesome show!!

Some good memories, some good conversations, some awesome belly laughs, a tear or two when it went quiet and i finally learnt how to wheelie!!!!! Logan started to back the 750 in..!!! he just needs to learn to wheelie now !!!

Hi there everyone. Greetings from the Gold Coast from one very proud mother who still hasn't managed to get the smile off her face. Yeah, I know, I am not the styliest rider on your track, BUT I am certainly the happiest. Thankyou to all the riders who showed their patience with my lack of experience with riding ?lines?. And also thanks to those of you who scared the crap out of me as you whizzed past. (didn't realise how much I relied on those wing mirrors....) The bowels probably needed a good clean out after Saturday nights escapades.......
It sounds very much like you all had fun on the day, and that was what it was all about. We all agree that if Daryl and Bruce were still with us, odds on that they would have been on a track somewhere having a blast. So this was the best way to be involved in something that was memorable to them, not us. I hope they enjoyed looking in on what we were all up to.
Thankyou Peg and Steve for all your organising, Cowpoos for the endless supply of bullshit and the like, Shane for explaining the meaning of the different coloured flags, ambo blokes for not being required cos everyone was soooo sensible and didn't hurt themselves, mother nature for putting on such awesome weather (couldn't believe I arrived back here sunburnt - not fair!) and also all the others who helped in various ways.
BUT........most of all I need to thank a most generous and caring person for her help. NICKI - YOU ARE ONE IN A MILLION.......Words will never be enough to thankyou for letting me ride your bike. Was a big risk you took given that I haven't been riding for that long. And what a delight it was to see your face when I was still behind you when you thought you'd left me behind ages ago! I hope I didn't damage anything on Tweetie. When I grow up I want to be able to ride just like you.......keep watching out, I might just pop up on the Qld Race track one day.
Anyway thanks everyone for making the whole time enjoyable, and for also being such a wonderful family of surrogate brothers and sisters to a special lost only child.
    Regards, Dale Smith

    Dale,

    what can I say....

It was an honour to have you ride Tweety... I had total faith in your abilities and knew that Tweety would look after you.. that and you have an angel on the back when ever you ride...

I am so proud of you chick! you improved out of sight throughout the day... your lines when i followed you were fantastic and your riding was very smooth and consistant.... (and Tweety is fine... you looked after her well, thank you!)

big hugs to you Dale.. your an amazing woman.... the permanent smile on your face said it all to me... i'm just so happy i could help and be a part of the day to make it as special and memorable as it was, for you and everyone involved. I cannot thank you enough for your support and encouragement and words of wisdom, I couldnt have done it without you either, my memory of the day wil be held close to my hear for sure!

Cant wait for our next track day together be it in Auzzie or out here

Thank you Dale for being the awesome chick that you are, I know you are a proud mum, but I bet Daryl is a very proud son too! I can just see him elbowing Bruce saying, thats my mum on the track! now go hard on your R6!

    on a personal note.
thank you Allan, Poos and MT for pulling off an awesome day at such short notice....

It was awesome to see those who loved the boys having a blast.... thank you to Mum, Tristan and Paula for being there for me (even when totally stressed out). Marshalls, thank you for your tireless watchful eyes... and the ambo dudes...
Thanks to all of you for your support on the day.... we have all been touched by Bruce and Daryl in so many ways... I know I'm blessed to have known them both and my life is so much richer for it.

My last thank you goes to Bruce. Thank you hun for being there for me... Lil Gix felt effortless to ride and i had the biggest grin out on that track, love you
