Hey Pankakes in my opinion the ride is just about perfect as it is. As much as the ATNR is about getting a mid week blast, to me, it is about meeting people and socilising and generally talking shit.

And besides if the ride was any longer and I would be so thirsty and hungry by the time I got to the pub I would fade away.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Yeah this guy has got it right. +1

As for timings we could leave there a bit closer to 1830 as we do seem to piss about at the servo a wee bit. That cuts into beer time.......For shame

Hi All, can't make it tonight, but be advised that for the last couple of days there has been about 10 or so motorcycle cops operating out of the airbase. Don't know if they'll crash the party, but keep a good look out for them.

    See you next Thursday.

One should not shun suggestions, as at times there may be room for improvment.

No one is moaning about how it is run, but enquiring wether or not a lil tweeking would be in the best interests of the ride. It may very well turn out that it is currently set up perfectly but you will never know unless the question is asked.

Will be at the pub at about 7.30.

The ATNR is something of an institution now. It's fine as it is, and allows for some variation.

If you want to go for a longer ride then fine, but don't hijack someone elses pre-organised event. If yours is 'better' then surely people will follow. But you can start you're own thread for your own ride. Or just organise with people at Westgate who is going North and who is going East at Kaukapakapa and make sure that people don't follow you accidently.
