Question ZXR250C -- need some pics

    Hey

for those who ride the ZXR250C, please can someone put up some pics of your rear-set and or pegs (mainly looking for the pegs pics though)

I have/had race pegs on my ZXR250C, which since the guy who stole my bike crashed it are munted. These are the pegs that don't fold up.

F1 Engineering in Hamilton do similar looking pegs to mine, but theres are 6mm and mine are 8mm (thread that is), and I can't seem to find similar ones anywhere else, so I guess I better start figuring out what the normal ZXR pegs look like and so forth...

    Any pics would be appreciated

    Thanks

    PF

Give DiscoTex a PM he has a few photos of his former ZXR250C and most should show the rear pegs.

Thanks... The pegs are pretty small to look at though... are they the ones that fold up?

Yep. They're folded up in the photo which might be why the look so small.

    Sweet thanks...

I think I'll just have to buy the ones from F1 Engineering and have them ground down somehow to fit...

I'll have to wait until next week anyway until I get my rearsets back from the Powder coaters and then see if the new ones will fit...

    Thanks again

If you've blown the motor I'd personally recommend selling it in bits.

I don't need any parts at this stage for the rearsets. I've taken the pillion pegs off the ZXR because I won't be using them, I'm only keeping the right side pillion peg mount (without the peg) because thats also the exhaust hanger mount thingy... So I'm thinking if I do decide to change back to the normal pegs I can just take the connecter thingys off the pillion pegs and install them to the rider mounts, and if I do this I'll still be buying aftermarket pegs, theres heaps of choices when it comes to the fold up pegs.

But as mentioned I'll have to wait until next week to when I get my rearsets back, then I can take them into the bike shop and check it out, I'm fairly confident I'll be able to get them to fit

What year is your ZXR and is it the A or C model?

Well if you strip it... there may be only one part I'm interested in... its the temp sensor for the radiator (looks kinda like a spark plug... but not really lol)

    Anyway

    Anyway

haha nah they are buggered on all zxr's....

i just wire in a switch...(dumasses wire it from the switch so it still uses sensor anyway...)

instead of hacking up the loom...just run a wire from battery positive, to the switch then the switch straight to radiator power, then you can use it when you want it. just keep an eye on temp gauge, i would rather have control over my bike, than trust zxr temp sensor haha, they are all stuffed.

ive had one zxr where it worked, but i disconnected it becausei knew it would crap out one day when i needed it. at least with the switchi know itll work when i really need it to

lol I broke mine all by myself

Was trying to put it under the counter and smacked the temp thingy on the counter the plastic bit that holds it into the plug snapped off... I've still got it and could do a "knead-it" job on it... but yeah... no worries
