    Snoring

Have anyone had a snoring problem that they have managed to fix?

I've heard about that nasel delivery system and a co-worker knows someone that has had success with it. Just wondered if any others on here have tried it and got results.

Yeah throwing pillows, socks or anything you can get your hands on works for a wee while...long enough to get to sleep anyway.

I have a magic weight point above which I snore constantly and below which I almost never snore.

If snoring's a problem, I recommend the "get that fork out of your face" diet and the "get your fat arse off the couch" training plan.

Agreed! but, some snore from other reasons apart from over weight, I am not fat, yet I snore like a freight train sometimes, tis a defect in my sinuses I am told.

I had my turbinates cauterised when I was 12. Made a world of difference to permanently obstructed sinuses. I take it you've investigated all such options with an ENT specialist?

Staying drugged up to avoid seasonal or chronic rhinitis is a good move, too. Flixonase for the win!

My ex is not overweight but has always snored like a trooper from when a kid apparently.

Is horrendously destructive to a relationship, you wouldn't believe it until you've tried to sleep with a snorer . . .

We tried the mouthguards which hold your jaw forward - they work well, but the dentist said they were buggering his teeth, and ex found it gave him a really sore neck and jaw. So don't bother with those.

    Own your snoring mate!!!

Investigate the whys. Lose weight if that is the issue, get your nose bored out if that is the issue. Get it looked at my professionals if you find yourself nodding off to sleep at odd times during the day. Sleep apneoa (sp?) is no joke, the delay in taking a breath creates an enormous snore, and can kill you to boot! Go see a doc before you take any advice off here!
