Which new tyres should I get?

The tyres on my bike are really square - I need a new set. I'll be commuting in it in all but the worst weather, but also taking it for a few hoons. As for milage vs performance, I'd probably go for performance. The bike is an aprilia rs250. I've read some of the reviews here, but they all seem to be by riders of bigger bikes. I'm a new rider, so looking for something that inspires confidence to lean the bike over

Can anyone suggest a good set? If you have a second choice please put that down in case I can't get the first one. Cheers.

Michelin Pilot Road 2's or Pilot power's for top line performance and milage will still be reasonable.
Or
Continental Contisport attacks which I did'nt have long as I have just traded the bike but they were shaping up well I thought.
As for sizes I would'nt have a clue, check out some websites I guess.

I like my PS 2 but i'm eyeing up a PS 3 at the moment, still quite expensive though.

Guys, this is a little bike where tyres are concerned. I think you are best looking at the likes of Pirelli Sport Demons or Bridgestone BT45s. They seem to do a good job on the 250's.

Exactly that's why I'd go for the dunlops alpha 10's

For grip, yes. But will they stand up well to commuting?

4.50x17 rear wheel Aprilia runs a 150 but Suzuki runs 160. I don't think you would notice alot of difference running a 150 or 160.

Continentals are a tyre that alot of people are talking about at the moment. Apparently they are very well priced and work really well.

If you doing alot of commutting and highway riding the 2CT tyres make sense as they are meant to not square off as fast.

Like most people I don't go thru enough tyres to form an opinion and whatever I put on I live with. Tyre pressures and suspension settings have a huge effect on how a bike feels on the road.
