FOR SALE 03 KTM 660 SMC (motard)

edit 11th jan: SOLD..............Thanks Trade me

EDIT 7TH JAN: THIS NEEDS TO SELL, I REALLY NEED CASH, SO MAKE AN OFFER. YOU MIGHT JUST END UP WITH IT. WILL GO ON tRADE ME MID WEEK

    Trade me auction: http://www.trademe.co.nz/MyTradeMe/S...source=sidebar

Well, after much thought my motard is up for sale as I am in the process of purchasing a new business and need a little more cash....

    2003 KTM 660 SMC (Motard)
    2,958kms

$7,800 ono NOW WILL TAKE UNDER $7K

She is a factory motard with no frills, just goes hard and will always return a smile, not many of this model around.

It is all standard apart from the stickers on the rims and the "Red Bull" rear shock (both I can remove if you want) and also i have shortened up the number plate holder by about 2 inches (I still have the off cuts if you want to glue them back on)

All the plastics are mint, standard lights etc still mint, never been dropped or raced other than one track day, will have a new rear tyre (front is near new) and the front forks will be rebuilt as they are leaking a little bit.

She is kick start only (and can not fit a electric start)

Rego till March 08 and wof till end of Feb 08 (i think, will check)

She has a uncomfortable seat, vibrates like a bitch and will only do about 100km on a tank of gas......basically the perfect motard.

Edit 3rd Jan 08: Put a new Avon Viper sport trye on the rear this morning

Ah mate?! I hope this is a temporary deviation (not having a motard). I've now spent close to your asking price on my old '01 KTM 520... always the way eh?

Any prospective buyers I can vouch that this particular bike is a fine machine in immaculate condition - it has a few herbs too!!

To be hosest with ya, I'm not really that keen on gettin' rid of it as it took me forever to find it, if i've still got it by new years i think i'll keeps it, but I'm not going to put it on Trade me so i'll just see what happens in here, if it does sell it will only take a month or so of not having one and I will have pissed the wife off enough by going on about it that she will give me the green light for another.

Thanks mate, I was going to take your offer, as i felt your pain as a poor student, struggling to get by......but then noticed "TL1000" in your bike section........Nice try..........next time you should put "worn out Kung Foo shoes" in there......

Close mate, I'll let it go for $6,500 as it is, rear tyre ($300) is getting down, and one of the forks is leaking ($160).
