hey guys...

I'll hopefully be gettign a bike soon so i want to come one of these days!!

though I'm going to be VERY bad lol... I've managed to crash a bike when it was standing still (i couldnt reach the ground and fell over *doh!*)

Sounds like you better come lots then... Nah all good. My first, second and third time were all in the last two years. Sadly that means that they were all after the first 13 years of riding and all with the busa.

I'm sure i'll be alright when i've done some practicing... it's not hard to ride really, i'm always just a pussy at these things.. lol you should have seen me in the car...

Unfortunately I reckon confidence (and to some extent cockyness) saves your skin on a motorbike. I always bugger up when in the pouring wet and that's cause I really have no clue what my bikes gonna do.. but yeah. If i'm in good shape by Wednesday i'll come on down.

yeah, confidence is the key in any vehicle.. but you only build that up when you've practiced... so it kind of goes without saying when i start practicing, i'll be fine i'm sure

Had me a little confused to, all those Harleys turning up to a midweek ride.

I've convinced Frosty into doing some ride practice with me at the factory in Swanson. It won't be untill after kids are back at school though.

I would have to agree that the carpark in which you and Frosty will be practising in is alot better lit and safer. There are less distractions and hazards which enables the rider to focus on the task assigned.

All great things must come to and end.
My participation in this project is no different.
I am not sure of dates at this time but my participation will be withdrawn before the end of May 2008. More information will follow as it becomes available.

What does this mean? It means unless someone other than me can find a new person to continue or modify the format then this thing of ours will cease to be.

If you have been procrastinating about coming along for a while, now is the time to pull finger, put bum on seat and try to learn something while the choice is still there.

I have been very proud to be a part of this and very proud of the progress that most of the participants made.

Please do not discuss my motives for withdrawing in this or any other thread. It is time.
