Black's somewhat OK for hiding road spooge, but it shows the dust'n'dirt rather badly. My VFR750 was a bastid for that: the paint was black (so attracted dust'n'dirt), and the wheels were white (so they sucked up all the road spooge).

This blue one's worse though - it sucks up scratches from somewhere.

Yeah I noticed them last week........... you must have some pretty bad roads 'round your way.......

Yeah - that's it! The roads.
Yeah definitely the roads.

Although the ones on the tank are from our Norflund holiday in Easter 2006.
I neglected to check the underside of the tankbag, and picked up some grit on our 60km or so of riding on gravel roads.

You're gonna love the Northland ride!
