    When did they change to the 5 year passports? (Mine's valid for ten years). So they've halved the time... but I'm guessing they didn't halve the fee.

    Actually, the fee has doubled. SO that effectively means we now pay 4 times as much for the same length of time.

    Lets face it - it is a handy form of I.D when you need it.
    I don't have an issue with the licenses per se in fact I support them but I don't like the lies that were told to introduce them

    just before xmas 2007 i lost my licence that was issued in 2003. i applied for and got a new one just after xmas. the photo they took in 2003 was used - the lady at the AA said 'you haven't changed much - it'll be fine'.

    was funny, cause i looked like a skinhead goateed white power gang member!

    well I WAS in the police when it was taken

    sounds like the average plod appearance at graduation really..... either that or a group photo at the dog base.

    So you will need to go and get a new one in 2013 or 2017?
