Imagine how mum must have felt bailing her son out just to have her husband do that to him.

This is one sick family. I hope that in their own way they are all able to deal with the consequences of their actions. I also hope that the fathers and the daughters lives are not completely ruined by this. I also hope that no matter how hard it gets in prison (and it will get hard being a kiddy fiddler) that the son sees his last day in prison. I don't hope he gets out but I do hope he serves his full stretch and no nutjob exacts revenge by killing him before he finishes his first week.

A jury is not bound by what is morally correct but what is acceptable in the eyes of the law.
Personally I think the little shit deserved what he had coming, just too bad that the little girl will lose her father for a stretch (although there's always the chance of probation from the start of his sentence given the nature of his crime).

If you are part of the jury it's not part of your job to sentence the defendant. You just decide if they broke the law or not.

Justice was served to the little prick but unfortunately, no matter how much you think the Dad was justified, he still broke the law. You would have to say guilty. Unless the conviction was worded in a way the could give you a loophole, like manslaughter instead of murder as an example.

The rest is up to the judge to decide on a fair conviction.
