I think the flag is still being flown for Brit Humour.

    Spaced
    Black Books
    Green Wing

Are three that spring immediately to mind and the subsequent Shaun of the dead and Hot Fuzz ahd me in fits of laughter.

Despite it's popularity I never liked The Office.

Father Ted was a phenomenon - fantastic. "This cow is a small toy. Those other cows are far-away"

    Dave Allen.
    Dick Emery.
    The Two Ronnies.

Shit yes Kenny Everett. They'd never get it on the air now.

Other than that Red Dwarf, and I really feel that Robot Chicken is a cultural icon in the making. See some, if you haven't.

Anyone seen Coupling ? Some of it is great, gusset, the bucket of ears monologue was frecking hilarious. Watched my first episode of Saxondale last night, couple of funny bits in that too. Dry and fairly un-american. I hate stuff where they beat you over the head with it. I'll watch family guy and the simpsons (no laugh track) but that's about it so far, generally they just don't get that it's not funny if you have to explain why it's funny. I guess that's why they like Mr Bean.

One of the richest seams of catch phrases recently has to have been The Fast Show...it was Brilliant!

Swiss Tony, Chris the craft cockney, Ron Manager - "small boys in the park, jumpers for goalpost, isn't it? mmm?, Sir Rowley Birkin - "I was vewy, vewy drunk..", Jazz Club - "nice!" this list goes on, and on...
