Just a thought but Rimutex to Ashhurst is 2 hours to join the Manawatu and Hawkes Bay crowd on a bit of a jaunt per Chanceyys post?

It would mean leaving Rimutex at 0730 to get to themn at 0930ish.

Not much North of Featherston on highway 2 either if you're trying to get to Ashhurst by 9.30. I'm just doing the quick way to Woodville then we'll have fun and I don't like getting up early - this will be bad enough .

The options seem to be at the moment
1) Rimutex @ 0730 (we can go all the way to Asshurst or just wait in Woodvillle for the Asshurst crowd to come to us)
2) Shell Mana @ 0800 (merv is going that way to meet up with the Dirty crowd at Woodville)

I'd rather do 1) but am somewhat attracted to the extra half hour in bed and the 1.5hrs of boring road vs the 2hrs of almost boring road (except the Takas). I'll play with the crowd.
