    Natalie starts school

Well big week for the wee lass.

She starts school on Thursday. Have taken the time off to spend mornings helping out......I am an excited Dad.

Anyone else having their kid starting school soon.

My eldest started last year, so Thursday will be her first day as a "First Year" (school uses year 0 for new entrants and orientation).

Best piece of advice is "get involved". Take time to pick her up, drop her off and give your name to the PTA as a volunteer for after school events. Good fun, and I wish my parents were as interested in my education

    Awesome!
Now all you'll hear is, "My teacher says...", "My teacher knows more than..", "My teacher does it this way" etc
Yep, that is the beginning of the end....

    Yay! Go Nats...

Big day for a little girl. And well done to Daddy for wanting to be there and helping out!

My baby had his first day at school 5 years ago (gawd, I feel old!), and he just gave me a big hug and disappeared so fast, I barely had a chance to say "i love you"!

Yep am spending at least the 2 first mornings at school to help the Teacher Aides (will leave Nats on her own so the Teacher aides have some sapce) and have no choice but to drop her off and pick her up........not that I don't want to anyway....as there is no one else to do it.

After school events will be harder to do given Nats circumstances but will just play it by ear.

Good on her! I am sure she will enjoy herself! Is she going mainstream or will she have special needs classes? Hoep it all goes well!
