Just spoke to the guy, he's thinking of Taupo on Sunday.
Meet at Breakers Napier, park on the cobblestones, maybe have brekky there as I do about 9.15-9.30, head off about 10ish.
All welcome, its not a regimented ride, so dunno who, or how many will turn up.

It's close to you...find the old cannon and the Dome opposite the sound shell on Marine Parade. It's right there.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

There is no chequered flag at the end of a ride. Every one rides at their own pace. I have been tail end Charlie many a time. I tried to combine the fast and slow groups that ride in Hawkes Bay last year but the ride we had to Tarawera didn't go so well. It seems some of the slower riders were upset because the fast riders went ahead. However they stopped at the pub and had only gone in to order when the slower group arrived. We all sat around and had a chat for an hour and then left for home. A good ride in my opinion. However I got some Emails to ask me not to do it again. It is simple. We leave together and meet at a prearranged place. Maybe regroup on the road or at the end of the ride. I have never seen a rider left behind and not waited for on any of my rides. So you will arrive at the same end place and enjoy the company of the group. If you want to ride slower than some I don't see a problem. It is a great way to meet people and is great to hang out with people with similar ideas and likes. Mainly bikes. We had 27 bikes yesterday and no one got left behind. We had everything from very fast to slower riders. No problems at all and it was a great ride. So come along and enjoy the company.

    I can't make Sunday.

Bugger. Ok you need to meet some of the people from here. Who can make a ride tomorrow? I want to go to church on Saturday night and have some work in the morning. But could fit a ride in in the middle of the day. So who is keen? The weather is going to be good. How about a loop around the Taihape road or similar? Or do you want to go to Wairoa? Anyone keen?
