Pilot stabbed, bomb threat at ChCh Airport.

Heard on the radio this morning that apparently a woman stabbed a pilot on a flight from Blenheim to Christchurch this morning, and threatened to have a bomb on her person. ChCh airport has been closed since 8am this morning, with flights canceled or delayed. Surrounding streets have also been closed off. A sniper was positioned at the airport, as police stormed the plane. The pilot was able to walk from the plane but has been rushed to hospital. The plane was a twin-prop gulfstream with 8 or so passengers on board. No one else was harmed and police have the woman in custody.

Expect to see increased security measures on domestic flights and increased ticket prices.

Just part of the statistical norm. People are being stabbed everywhere lately, why not on planes......

She sounds a little bit serious... or maybe just mentally ill.
She forgot one of the main rules of terrorism; if you get overpowered and fail to take a cockpit, detonate the bomb.

Indeed, proper meat can easily be severed witha fork alone if cooked correctly!
