SJS has plenty of full time jobs available.
Chin up, lass. I think this is one of the hardest, most soul destroying things in life. Searching, applying , getting hopes up , and then cast down again. Over and over. It breaks y' confidence, crushes spirit.
I can't give you a magic answer, all I can do is repeat the trite expressions of encouragement.
But one thing I found helpful was to apply percentages. I reckoned , of every 100 jobs I looked at, there'd be one that I could justifiedly apply for.
Then of those I applied for there'd be one in 20 that I'd get an interview for.
And of the interviews, one in 10 would ask me back for the second interview.
And of those one in 4 would actually lead to a job.
(Those figures are reasonablyt realistic , by the way)
So, if you think about the numbers it doesn't seem so personal. Just "OK, they had 50 other people they interviewed. So it wasn't anything against me, personally, just most of us had to be culled. I've not actually applied for that many, next time may be MY turn"
It's really, truely isn't anything wrong with you. Nor is it any reflection on your ability to do the job you applied ofr. Just that they had one job, and 100 applicants. Maybe all of them, good people, all capable of doing the job. But still, 99 have to be disappointed.
Keep plugging away at it, next one may be the one that comes up diamonds
Good luck, and God bless.
BTW the job market always goes very dead after Christmas, doesn't start to pick up again until about now. So Seek and such like would be pretty barren in the last month or so - it should get better in the next few weeks.
