Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
A good reminder ahead of any ride but in particular the Coromandel ride, not to say don't have your fun but y'know you're a fair way from home and so on and there is no point in being silly about things![]()
Did the solo marble searching thing this weekend. Using the CX of course. Up around the unsealed roads over Apiti/Pahangina/Utuwai yesterday(Merv it's ideal for your adventure touring bunch). Today over to Pahiatua, Afredton, Castle Point via the unsealed scenic route to Tinui. Backtracked to Masterton for gas up then back through the Alfredton (stopped to move a rather large gum branch off the road that was blocking one lane 14kms out off Masterton), Pongaroa for late lunch, then of home via Makuri/Ngaturi/Woodville. Was wearing an open chockchaser helmet. Certainly an interesting way to keep ones speed down. Hell even matches the bikes paint work which is a bit of a worry. When I took it off for lunch a bit of airbourne live stock vacated it.
Clipped a blind dog yesterday, no serious damage to dog or bike. Had to dodge sheep, cattle, hawkes, bumble bees and numberous other unidentifiable flapping objects today.
I'm sure I saw Mr and Mrs Pickle enroute heading in the oppersite direction. Had a quick natter to a pommy bloke doing the touring thing at Masterton. Scooted passed a couple of Ullysians on the way home. Around 400kms at a sedate pace all up today and 140 yesterday.
A very enjoyable weekends riding.
Sounds like a couple of great rides. Did the Palmy-Napier-Taupo-Palmy loop yesterday. Great day out.
