I haven't been around Ascot for absolutely ages. I'd be happy with 63 though. Can't remember what my best score around there is - haven't played there for many years, was a teenager the last time - but I don't think it was much better than 70. Probably high 60s?

Baaah, what about us Auckland golfers if anyone plays at either Formosa, Huapai, Whitford, Maramarua, Onewhero or the Peninsula let me know.

I am keen to cover those courses Just on that note does anyone know of a club (anywhere around the country) that I could join which has low membership fees, just to get a proper handicap and become a affiliated member of NZGA?

I don't play enough to justify thousands of dollars a year on annual membership fees compared to green fees for affiliated members.

It doesnt cost thousands to join a club down here! There are a few rural clubs that have sub $500 membership fees!

Ben Ohau club in Twizel were at $125 full membership when I left there 5 years ago. They even had a cheaper 'Country Member' sub.

Chur guys, I've actually pulled out a list of 10 golf courses around the country with less than 20 members hehehe. I play at Pupuke occasionally it has more than 1000 members hehe.

I am assuming their membership would be cheap, just gotta ring around now and enquire, I'll let you know how I went.
