    Ok
If a ride north were to take place on a different day then there would be no reason to meet at BK Moorhouse and it would be under a different thread anyway so that's all good.

If a ride north did start at Moorhouse BK on a Wednesday I dare say there'd be a rally point before you reached the motorway?

Sounds good. I guess either the BK at Belfast, or the Pegasus like was done for the Waitangi Day rides (it has a large carpark, so plenty of parking space) would do. See:

Of course the pub in the map is in fact the Belfast Tavern, as far as I know it is not, nor ever has been called the Pegasus.
The reason I suspect for your confusion would be that it is also known as 'The Peg' which relates back to something to do with it being a mile marker (like the 9 mile marker peg to do with surveys and distance from the Chch Square) of some possible historical significance.

The above info is of course just hear, say, but I am confidant enough in the source to repeat it here.
    Cheers

Oh boy, haha. Thanks for clearing that up .

So yeah, have plotted the route to Greta Valley (roughly) on the map via SH1 - there aren't any real alternate routes are there? About 140km round-trip.

from the peg to woodend to ambeley to waipara turn left after bridge
travel weka pass to Waikari, Turn right at the pub,
Scargil Valley road , next stop Gretta Valley
    Is that your Idea?
If so and you leave the Peg at 6.30ish?
Might be waiting at amberley if I get time!

That sounds like a good ride. I'll see if my bike is back from it's 24k service. If it is be a good run.

At this stage I will be turning up for this one. Are we changing the meeting place for this one or still the Morehouse BK????
If its changing for this one then a forum on front page should be started to let every one know.

Probably not a great idea to go changing anything this late. Perhaps for next week?
I guess if you don't see it on a separate thread in any particular week, it's BK Moorhouse as usual (said the guy who's only been on one of these rides).

There are a few people who are showing up through word of mouth and are not reading the forum every week so I would hate to hear the meeting time or place had changed just because you went north, even with a weeks notice.

Seems I'm coming along this week as well.

Apparently the guys on the boat couldn't handle it without me and broke the bloody mast (or a stay at least ).
