File size is one thing, but that second image (now deleted) also mucks up the forum and is simply too large for many screens.

Embedded images are a pain in the arse for me sometimes. Some are OK, but there are others that skew my view of the site! I need to use toggles to see posts if some smarty pants has imbedded a huge pic. Bores me shitless and 10/10 I stop attempting to read the thread. Not all of us can afford the latest and greatest in technology, I would suggest we are the majority not the minority, so thank you to the site admin for this rule.

If image embedding is ever banned, could we have the attached-image thumbnails a bit bigger?

I have no problem with this type of thread when the thread starter is genuinely trying to understand the purpose of a rule. Yes, it will attract some who just want to whinge at the moderators, but if there is one member who doesn't understand a rule there will also be others.
